I keep forgetting to post pictures from the night of Jenna's first birthday. In a couple of days, she's going to be 13 months old so I better do it now. Randy and I took her out to eat then we walked around an art museum for a few minutes before he had to go to his Monday night class at UT. It was a small celebration, but we at least wanted to be together so we could sing "Happy Birthday" to her at 6:37 pm, the official time of her birth. It was a good finale to her many birthday celebrations.

We recently took Jenna to have her 1-year photos taken at Portrait Innovations. Here are some of her best poses.

Little Bunny Girl
Finally the weather has cooperated and Jenna has gotten big enough to wear the little pink furry bunny coat her daddy bought her before she was born. We took a couple of pictures the first night she modeled it.

Our Little Walker & Talker
Jenna has really started walking a lot the past couple of weeks. She can take at least 10 or so steps at a time, and she's enjoying her independence! Here are some action shots:She also cracks us up with something new she's started doing. Whenever we tell her to say "hello," she holds her hand up to her ear like she's talking on the phone then says "hello." Or if we give her a cell phone to play with, it immediately goes to her ear, she says hello, then she starts jabbering like she's talking. It's amazing what she's catching on to! In this picture, her dinner was interrupted by a very important phone call:

Christmas Party
We took Jenna to the Children's Christmas Party at work today, which was her first exposure to Santa. As you can tell from the photo below, she wasn't real fond of him. She looks much calmer in the next picture with her Daddy. Thanks to her Uncle Aaron for the cute Christmas outfit.

First Birthday Party
It's hard to believe it's almost been a year since Jenna arrived. In a way, it's flown by, but in another way, it's hard to remember life without her. She's been such a blessing and joy to get to know this past year. We had a birthday party for her in Atlanta this weekend, and so enjoyed visiting with friends and family there. At first she wasn't interested in her cake, but after digging out the goldfish crackers Daddy had placed in the cake, she decided it was pretty good. She ended up eating about half of her mini-cake, then we think she got tired of the mess. She definitely enjoyed being the center of attention and even did some new tricks for the crowd. We think she's going to be quite the social butterfly!

Position is everything in life...
Jenna was finishing her dinner the other night, and we cracked up when we saw her position in the high chair while she was drinking her milk. By the time I got the camera, she wasn't drinking anymore, but her leg was still in the same position. We just had to capture a picture of it. She is so funny...and flexible!!!

Pigtails
When we picked up Jenna at school the day before Thanksgiving, her teachers had put pigtails in her hair! She looked so cute and grown up. It's hard to believe she's going to be a year old in a little over a week! This past year sure has flown by for us!

That's so funny!
Jenna is getting quite the mouthful of teeth, and enjoys showing them off with big giggles. She was finishing her dinner last night and was really wound up, so we caught it on camera. We'll post pictures of her first Thanksgiving soon.

Jenna's New Friend
Several months ago, we had bought some Elmo character toys for Jenna, but she'd never shown much interest in them. Then last week, all of the sudden, she acted like she enjoyed this hand puppet. Several times since then, Randy has brought out the puppet and she just laughs and laughs. It's so cute to watch and listen to her giggle!

Sleeping Beauty
We just had to post this picture of our little one asleep in the carseat. Isn't she such a cutie? She's been a little under the weather this weekend, so hopefully she starts sleeping this peacefully again soon.

Crawling--Jenna Style
This is Jenna's newest style of crawling. She's been doing it for the past couple of weeks and it is so funny! What's even more funny is when she hears music with a beat, she'll start shaking her toosh while she's in that position. Hilarious! We think this is just another step closer to walking.

Spaghetti
We introduced Jenna to spaghetti this week and captured the photos for you to share. She started by studying it, then she just dove in! She's going to be eating a lot more soon since we noticed 3 new teeth coming through--to make a total of 8! WOW!

What a Big Girl!
Yesterday Jenna celebrated her 11-month birthday by walking behind her walking toy for the first time. Whenever we'd tried before to get her to do so, she always just sat down and played while sitting. However, when Randy helped her walk with it yesterday, she just took off! What a big girl she is! Here's a video...

Fall in Tennessee
We went to the UT Arboretum last Sunday to enjoy the beautiful fall leaves here in Tennessee. Here are some photos of how Jenna reacted to the leaves. At first, she was reluctant to touch them, but she was soon comfortable doing so.
